We accept private payments, including customized plans, and compensation through the New York Board of Education for approved cases. Currently, we cannot accept insurance payments. Please reach out to us if you have further questions regarding your specific case.

While traditional OT focuses on improving specific actions through repetition, Smart Stride OT's approach is more on addressing the root causes of academic delays. We delve into how specific issues are affecting a child’s school experience and what causes it to persist, especially on the processing side. This allows us to understand and help children develop their lacking skills, providing a broader impact on their overall success. 

Additionally, we collaborate closely with educators and parents so that the students’ progress compounds and is reinforced consistently throughout their lives.

SSOT sessions typically last 60 minutes per week. We target specific auditory or visual skills through repeat exercises and introduce new ones to practice. We then focus on reinforcing these skills through engaging OT activities and games.

We initiate our customized program with start and end dates to give parents clarity on goal achievement timelines, which typically span from one to one and a half years. 

*Please note: Although improvement is sometimes seen within weeks, leaving the program too early can stop progress before the child is fully ready. Our program’s focus is on having children practice skills until they are completely mastered.
