Our Smart stride OT method utilizes our unique, expert-developed methodology that focuses on the development of auditory and visual processing skills vital for learning.
When a child's developmental skills are not matured to the age-appropriate level, they are unable to grasp concepts in the same way as their peers.
Because our approach focuses on developing skills, rather than simply learning class material,
we are giving the child the tools he needs to keep up in class on his own throughout his school career.
Additionally, because of our innovative techniques and specific exercises, we significantly cut down the time it takes to develop the lacking skills.
First, we conduct comprehensive evaluations where we pinpoint exactly where the gaps are in a child’s ability to process auditory and visual information.
Through assessments and follow-up meetings, parents get an accurate picture of why their child is struggling in the classroom.
Then, we customize a plan for your child focusing on the particular skills he needs to develop. Once the plan is made, we meet weekly with your child for an hour. During the meetings, we do specific exercises to develop the skills where deficits were discovered.
You may have tried tutors to get your child through his difficulties in school. But when a child is behind his peers in reading or another academic skill, the hardship is rarely about the subject. There are processing skills that need to be developed.
Our collaborative model connects occupational therapists, tutors, teachers, and parents.
By working together, the child keeps up in class because every aspect of his learning experience is finally on the same page. He’s not only focused on the current material.
